Financial Partner Update!

For those of you who are curious about my financial support:: Here is an update!

I'm looking for a team of people who are willing to become financial and prayerful partners with me as I begin working full-time with Urban Reach in New Orleans. My main focuses of work will be: Starting an after school program/club at an elementary school, administrative work, and serving at The Vine (the church) and outreaches.

Please be praying about a certain amount that you may be able to partner with me. I know that God has already picked out a team and I'm asking that you pray about whether or not He has called you to be one of those people and what amount He calls you to give.

My Goals:
Annually: $24,000
Monthly: $2,000

Current Amount given by Donors:
Annually: $12,600
Monthly: $1,050

The following is a list of financial amounts broken down by monthly commitments. Do you see yourself at any of these amounts or possibly a higher amount?
*If you see yourself giving a one time amount, that amount will be broken up into monthly amounts. For example: If you give a one time amount of $300, that will put you as a $25/a month donor.

Weekend in New Orleans Part 2

Saturday morning, I woke up and watched the Hick's kids for the morning while Pastor Corey was at an outreach and Nicole was at the kid's school for a meeting. We spent the morning eating cereal, cuddling on the couch, and watching Little Einsteins and Beauty and the Beast!! Perfect morning!

Later that afternoon, Pastor Corey, Nea Nea, Isaiah, Nicole, and I spent time hanging out, eating waffles and eggs...and watched the boys play video games, of course lol

A little while later, CJ, Tre, and Jasmine came through to pick up Isaiah and I to make a quick trip to the mall. We didn't have that much time to spend, but it was so great being around my family again. As soon as we got back to the Hick's, it was time to leave for the concert, so we piled into two cars and drove the hour long drive to Slidell.

The concert was at a really cool venue called, "Ohana Pier". It's a little spot where kids can go to just hang out (having a place to go rather than getting into trouble).. play video games, pool, watch football games, and theres a huge area for concerts. Plus, they had these really awesome VW buses turned into these couch things...

At the concert, we hooked up with HolyZone Records from Tampa who were also performing. During sound check, CJ got me addicted to the game Fruit Ninja on his phone..big mistake.. because 1: now I play it all the time.. and 2. CJ and I are very competitive.. It started with card games, but this began another battle now about whose the best at Fruit Ninja lol

Then, during the concert, Jasmine and I worked the merchandise table along with CJ and Isaiah. It was awesome seeing the attendees really getting into the music!

The next morning, was SUNDAY & Church at The Vine. Nicole, the kids, and I headed over to the church.. and I got to hang out with the kiddos while listening to the awesome praise team.. I have to brag on the worship at The Vine.. it is amazing.. there are so many beautiful voices and gifted men and women on the team..

After worship, the girls continued with worship as they did a praise dance which was truly beautiful. There are so many gifted and talented people at the church and Urban Reach.
I was sooo sad to leave, but it was a blessing having my parents there to participate in the church service... and for them to meet everyone on the team.. it was amazing.. For the last year, it's been so difficult to leave New Orleans and my new family down there, that I cry almost every time.. however, it's gotten so much easier knowing that I will soon be down there--I almost can't believe it.. I'm so honored to have the opportunity to do this.. THANK YOU, JESUS! :)

Check out the links below!! Pastor Corey also spoke a message on HURT.. when I have a link I'll be sure to post!

Weekend in New Orleans

Last weekend, my parents and I drove down to New Orleans for a few reasons.
1. Apartment search
2. Exposure Album Release Party
3. Fellowship :):)

Thursday night, after a long nine hours in the car, we arrived at the Hick's!! We thought we'd get some New Orleans food at Boudreaux, but apparently they went out of business (?? seriously what happened to that place?) So instead, we went to Ryan's to spend some time catching up with the whole family and eating soft serve ice-cream lol!

The next day, began our apartment search... we met up at the Hick's to pick up Corey and we headed out. I was soooo very thankful to have my brother, Corey, with us--it truly made the experience a lot easier, funner, and even more exciting. We looked at a few apartments around Gretna. The apartments that we saw were nice, but we're still looking around. It was good to finally get out there and actually see a few places, but next time, we'll be looking more on the Eastbank on the opposite side of the bridge (near the French Quarter, The Vine, Dillard University, etc..)

Currently, the Hick's are currently renting a home on the Westbank. Their home was destroyed during Katrina in 2006 and they found it completely flooded out when they returned home. (Thankfully, they were out of the state when the storm hit.) They're still working on fixing it up so that they can move back in.
Since my parent's hadn't yet seen their house on the Eastbank, we went out to see it. They're still working on putting up drywall, electricity, plumbing, etc,.. but because Corey and his family are full-time missionaries, it's been a long process to get back into their true home. We're looking for financial supporters to help get Pastor Corey and his family back into their home. If you have a heart to help them, please let me know!! kcarmody1013@gmail.com

Next, Corey took us to a spot called "Two Sisters".. SOOOO good.. I got the gumbo.. and there was a full crab in it LOL..

Then, we headed back to the Hick's before my parents and I went back to the hotel to change for the concert and grab my suitcase so I could stay at the Hick's the rest of the weekend.

A little bit later, we left for the Exposure Album Release Party!! I finally got to see my brothers Jonathan, CJ, Tre, Doc, Bobby, and Brandon.. I hadn't seen them in what felt like months! After a little while, the show began and I spent some time taking pictures and video of the concert and fellowshipping with the team!

I don't have really any pictures since I was using someone else's camera, but here are links to some concert footage.

After the concert was over...... I hoped in the car with Nicole, Nea Nea and all the kids lol.. With the 5 kids in the back, I sat on the floor on top of my huge pink suitcase lol.. laughing all the way to the house, while we blared the Exposure CD
Exposure Album - Itunes

Stay turned for part 2!!
